Our Season is Starting!!
Thank you all for all your patience while we get our 2021 season up and running! With the registration numbers we have right now, here are the schedule details of what our season will look like.
Practices will be Tuesday night and Thursday night for the season. Our hope with the government moving into stage 3 was to have our season indoors, but unfortunately, Norfolk county will not be allowing that for this season. They do not have the appropriate staffing for us to be inside the arena. We apologize for this, but it is out of our hands at this point. BUT, the good news is that we will be able to use the outdoor "arena" in Port Dover, which is located beside/behind the Port Dover arena (809 St. George Street). We will also use the field beside the arena. If there is poor weather, we will attempt to reschedule that nights' practice another time throughout the season.
The following are the scheduled times. Due to the registration numbers, some age levels have been grouped together. The levels can practice as a whole, or split into their respective teams and share the 'arena' and field between them.
5:30-6:30 - Soft Lacrosse/Paperweight & Paperweight
6:30-7:30 - U9. U11, U13
7:30-8:30 - U15 Boys & U15 Girls
8:30-9:30 - U17 Boys, U17 Girls & U22 Boys, U22 Girls
SMLA President Ron Schweitzer would like to have a group parent meeting at the beginning of each practice on Tuesday. It will be about 10 minutes. If you have any questions, please ask Ron at the meeting.
